How to Get There

Your mountain adventure begins the moment you set out for us. The Zwölferhorn Cable Car is nestled in the beautiful Salzkammergut region in St. Gilgen on Lake Wolfgang. Whether you’re traveling by car, public transportation, or even by boat across the lake—thanks to excellent transportation links, you can reach our “Hörndl” quickly and easily.

Traveling by Boat

Take a boat from a nearby town on Lake Wolfgang to visit us; get off at the St. Gilgen boat dock, and you’ll reach the Zwölferhorn cable car’s valley station in just a 5-minute walk. For more information about the boat trip, click here: https://www.schifffahrt-am-wolfgangsee.at/rundfahrt/

You can easily reach our Zwölferhorn cable car by bus. The bus stop (St. Gilgen Bus Station, Raiffeisenplatz) is located right next to the valley station building. For more information, click here: https://salzburg-verkehr.at

If you’re coming by car from Vienna, take the Mondsee exit and follow the federal highway to St. Gilgen; if you’re coming from Munich, exit the highway at Thalgau toward Hof, then continue on to Fuschl and St. Gilgen.
